Sidekick Heaven by Riders In the Sky (Silver Jubilee)

https://itunes.apple.com/album/silver-jubilee/id44378766?i=44378469

This provides an explanation for the funny sound that the bass player makes throughout many of the pieces. "Bu-u-u-u-sha!"

Golden Slippers by Foghorn Stringband (Weiser Sunrise)

https://itunes.apple.com/album/weiser-sunrise/id78090081?i=78090079

I first heard this song in the Ricky Schroder/Alec Guinness version of "Little Lord Fauntleroy". I was shocked to hear this playing on Pandora!

The Battle of New Orleans by Johnny Horton (Radio Classics of the 50's by Various Artists)

This one used to be one of my favorites on Disney's Yankee Doodle Mickey album.

While I'm at it, here are some other LPs from my childhood days that I really enjoyed:

It seems these songs are almost impossible to find for MP3 purchase. Some of the prices for LPs seem more reasonable than others. If I do buy some of these, I'll make a trip over to my dad's to borrow his LP player!

The Ballad of Davy Crockett by Asleep At the Wheel (Remembers the Alamo)

A local play brings special attention to this song. It was also used as a childhood taunt because of my unique first name.

Marty Robbins - Country 1960-66 [Box set]

Wow! That is pricey!

North to Alaska by Johnny Horton (Greatest Big Hits of 1961, Vol. 4 by Various Artists)

Wagon Wheels by The Sons of the Pioneers (Cool Water)

Nice rendition with a really, really low bass (Pirates of Caribbean style).

Unbroke Hoss by Sons of the San Joaquin (Sing One For The Cowboy)

You're from Texas by Asleep At the Wheel (Live at Billy Bob's Texas: Asleep At the Wheel)

Ride Cowboy Ride by Rex Allen Jr. and Rex Allen Sr. (The Singing Cowboys)

Tumbling Tumbleweeds by Michael Martin Murphey (Cowboy Songs)

30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, aprecept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that creceiveth I will give dmore; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.
